Removing Stripped Screws – It's so hard to remove screws that no longer fit into the screwdriver because they are stripped. Use a screw extractor or put some wool over the screw and try taking it out. 

Toilets that keep running your water –  This is usually such and easy fix you can do without a plummer. Remove the lid from the top of the tank that's behind the toilet seat. Check the lever that makes the plunger go up and down inside. Sometimes you just need to bend the arm that goes from the plunger to the lever or flush handle on the outside of the toilet. The chain could be broken and you can easily replace that too. 

Cleaning Your Gutters –  Water that overflows from your gutters to the ground could cost you tons of money if it starts to leak into your foundation. Make sure the leaves and needles from your trees are taken out of your gutter. Doing this once in the spring after the leaves have come out and once in the fall after the leaves have fallen is usually ample enough.
